Distillery Near Garland, TX

Looking for a distillery near Garland, TX? Herman Marshall has deep Garland roots. Our founders, Herman Beckley and Marshall Louis, opened the distillery in Garland in 2010, and it became the first legal distillery in Dallas County since Prohibition. Today our whiskey tasting room is a short drive northeast in historic downtown Wylie, at 121 N. Ballard Ave.

Where Herman Marshall Got Its Start

Herman Marshall began as a hobby between two friends researching bourbon recipes from the 1800s. That obsession became a distillery in Garland, and the first legal whiskey made in Dallas County in nearly a century. Operations have since moved to Wylie, but the recipes, the Texas-grown grain and the 300-gallon copper pot still that started it all came with us.
